Tellurium Copper, designated as C14500, is the ultimate "Free-Machining" copper alloy. Standard high-purity copper (like C11000) is notoriously difficult to machine; it is "gummy" and tends to wrap around drill bits and create long, stringy chips that can ruin expensive CNC tooling. At Zhejiang Jingliang, we solve this by adding a small, precisely controlled amount of tellurium (about 0.5%). This addition creates tiny inclusions in the copper matrix that act as "chip breakers," allowing the metal to be machined at speeds similar to free-cutting brass. Most importantly, unlike leaded-copper alloys, Tellurium Copper maintains an incredibly high electrical conductivity (≥93% IACS) and thermal conductivity.
