  • A: Copper is "Hygroscopic" to some extent in that moisture from the air can condense inside. You should always re-cap any unused portion of a coil immediately to maintain its "Dehydrated" status.
  • Q: Can I use standard plumbing pipe for AC instead of dehydrated tube?
  • A: No. Standard plumbing pipe (ASTM B88) contains residues and moisture that will destroy a refrigeration compressor. Only B280 Dehydrated tube should be used for ACR.
